    yeah...
I hate Live Journal. and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. If you want to read me, I'm at GJ, username collyflower. It's much easier, more fun, and you can have 50 million more icons. (Okay, so you can only have 1000, but I like to exaggerate.) I can't help that I like the options bar on the left! So.... easyyyyyy...

    "Exchange Estudent"
In the past few years my family has had many people live with us in our home. It all started with the Russian girls, Maria and Anna, who lived with us for two weeks during the summer. They spoke very little english, and their families were obscenely rich. After that we hosted a Finnish girl (Tuija) and a German girl for a weekend on their way home from a school year in the states. Next was a Girl Scout pair (Lori and Sarah) from Illinois, on a "Wider Opportunity" Trip.
In the summer of 2000 Macarena came from Spain to stay with us for a month. We bonded in the first week, and even more when the family took in two more girls for the weekend and one slept in my bed. Maca and I shared the floor:-p
The other two girls who came to stay with us were Marie from France and Kayo from Japan. That weekend was so much fun. Marie's accent was so cute, and Kayo was really smart and fluent in English.
Maca was with us for two more weeks after Marie and Kayo left for home, and then she returned to Bilbao, Spain.
Just one week after Macarena left us, Genoveva Loza-Monasterio arrived in the US from Argentina. My dad picked her up and brought her home. All of us were unprepared for the remarkable year we shared with Gege, teaching her English in the beginning, driving from NY to Disney World (and back) in our minivan. With all of our luggage, and souvenirs, and cramped backseats. Listening to her spanish music, as well as the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith blasting through the house. Calling "Besa mi coulo!" through the school hallways. (Please excuse the spanish spelling, I took french in school.)
I recommend all of you to host a foreign exchange student.

Ohh, and I really started this entry to vent how excited I am that Kayo is coming in September to visit my family!

    For those who enjoy fanfiction...
I just finished reading something amazing by Maya. Be warned, it's Harry/Draco.
Her summary: Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I've just got to figure out where I'm going, other than down the drain.
I'm going back to another semester at FLCC in January because I can't afford it now. I don't know what my new major will be, because I still don't know what to do with my life. I've listened to conflicting opinions for too long. I've decided for myself that I'm worth figuring out, finally. Now I have to do it.
I might want to be a teacher. English, French, maybe even Spanish. I may want to teach English as a second language on the side. I want to help children. I may want some of my own, eventually.
I just have some decisions to make.

    My first entry.
I'm only writing this so my journal officially exists. I'll write something more interesting and important later.
